The Victorian Artificial Reef Society (VARS) together with Tourism Victoria and the Victorian government are working closely to secure the Ex HMAS Canberra for scuttling in the vicinity of Port Phillip Bay. It is anticipated that this will be achieved in time for summer 2009. This purpose dive site will complete the vast array of dive sites that Port Phillip Bay and surround area has to offer.

The Dive Victoria Group is Victoria's largest and most professional dive centres and charter operators operating out of both Portsea and Queenscliff and operating to over 120 different dive sites.

DVG operates 5 custom dive vessels that cater for divers of all levels. DVG will lead the way with trips, packages and accommodation to dive the Canberra and surrounding dive sites.
